ETA: Yes, reblog BY 9:30 p.m., not AT 9:30 p.m. (thank you, asker).

Were people born into sin?

Sin.. Its not a pleasant topic. But whether or not its a pleasant topic, i ask one question.. Did God bring us into the world to fail? To do great things? To give us a chance? Or were we doomed from the start? The devil is all around us in many things, sex before marriage, murder, suicide, even movies sometime glorify the devil. Its a scary world. I am a strong believer in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I do believe that I wasn’t born to sin. I think the Lord gives us a chance to redeem ourselves if we fail.. But to answer the question, No I don’t believe people were into sin. I think that people fail because they let themselves get caught into the devil’s trap. Is a serial killer born into sin? No. They have been many serial killers who grew up in terrible homes. But there are people who grew up in the same conditions and actually made something of their lives, lawyers, doctors, even professors. Just because you grow up somewhere like that doesnt mean you are doomed for sin.. You can rise above that stereotype and become something great. People may try to treat you badly but just think that one day you will show them that you are different. People can become a lot more than they think.. Insecurities are a unnessasary evil in life. Just live in the moment and try your best to do what is best and no one is perfect. There is not a way to tell someone to do the right things, but they have to figure out the right way for themselves. I think God has a plan for everyone. But whether or not the person follows through will the plan is not up to God. Its up to the person.

Upwarddd..

I read(mostly) the “short” post by Mr. Jordan on Upward Bound. Here is my thoughts on it.

He’s right. It isnt school at all. Its much different. There are some actual good things and learning experiences with upward bound. But… Everything has its downsides. If i didn’t get anything out of this then i would be at home in the bed. lol. School is horrific sometimes, but its a privilege to learn something everyday and i wouldn’t go anywhere without it, so sometimes its nice to just have some downtime with friends and chill.

UB actually helps. Need help with homework? Done. You may have to ask, but they also have tutoring so you get the help you need. Need help with transitioning to college? (seniors of course) Done. Mrs. Vicki has helped me in more ways than one. She is an amazing person. Sometimes i wonder how she puts up with us. LOL.

Anyways, sometimes UB can be a pain, (like giving up mondays, and saturdays, ;D) but it helps more than anything i could do on my own.

ANYWAYS,

Theres my response. Haha. :D

(BTW Jordan, The Hunger Games was AWESOME!!!! haha :D)
